§ THE VICE CHAMBERLAIN (Viscount LEWISHAM,) LewishamIt does not appear from the returns that anthrax has existed in Northamptonshire to any serious extent. The total losses on seven farms on which the disease has appeared since the beginning of the year amount to seven cattle and three sheep. Under these circumstances it does not seem to be necessary to adopt any exceptional measures.
