HC Deb 02 May 1889 vol 335 c987
SIR W. LAWSON (Cumberland, Cockermouth)

May I ask is there any truth in the statement that appears in a Conservative newspaper this morning that it is the intention of the Government to withdraw the Sugar Bounties Bill?

The hon. Baronet often asks questions of that kind. He must be aware that newspapers live by paragraphs, and these paragraphs succeed in their object and are exceedingly interesting to credulous readers.
