HC Deb 02 May 1889 vol 335 c988
MR. THEOBALD (Essex, Romford)

asked the Secretary of State for War if it was true that the appeal of Lieutenant Geoghegan against the sentence passed on him for brawling in a church had been heard, and that the sentence had been reserved by the Superior Court, which had thereby justified the action of the Lieutenant?

*MR. E. STANHOPE

Yes, Sir. The Court of Quarter Sessions at Clonmel has unanimously reversed the sentence which had been passed on Lieutenant Geoghegan.
