HC Deb 28 June 1889 vol 337 c1104

Order for Second Reading, read.

Motion made, and Question proposed, "That the Bill be now read a second time."

MR. KENNY (Tyrone, Mid)

It is contrary to the general understanding to take advantage of an unexpected opportunity on a Friday evening, to rush a Bill of this description through without explanation. I hope we shall not be asked to proceed with a Bill of which we know nothing. The Attorney General is present, and perhaps he can give us the Government view in regard to it.

Notice taken that 40 Members were not present; House counted, and 40 Members not being present,—

House was adjourned at ten minutes before Twelve o'clock till Monday next.
