HC Deb 27 June 1889 vol 337 c883
MR. TUITE (Westmeath, N.)

I beg to ask the Postmaster General whether he has received a memorial from the inhabitants of the districts of Ballynacargy and Ballymahon, asking that a day mail service be established between Mullingar and Ballymahon, viâ Ballynacargy; and, if so, is it his intention to accede to the wishes of the memorialists?

* MR. RAIKES

The memorial referred to by the hon. Member has been very recently received, and I am making inquiry on the subject. I find that there have been previous similar applications from the district named; but that it has hitherto been impracticable to afford the accommodation on account of the large expenditure involved.
