HC Deb 25 June 1889 vol 337 c707
SIR JOHN PULESTON (Devonport)

I beg to ask to the First Commissioner of Works whether he can now remove the restriction which precludes visitors passing through Westminster Hall so far as to permit them to pass through when accompanied by Members?

THE FIRST COMMISSIONER OF WORKS (Mr. PLUNKET,) University of Dublin

I am glad to be able to say that a new regulation has been approved of by the Secretary of State, to the effect that Members of both Houses of Parliament, officials of both Houses of Parliament, and the friends of Members of Parliament, when personally accompanied by such Members, will be allowed to pass through Westminster Hall, either from New Palace Yard or from St. Stephen's entrance.
