HC Deb 20 June 1889 vol 337 c303
SIR ROPER LETHBRIDGE (Kensington, N.)

I beg to ask the Under Secretary of State for India w hat length of service in the Indian Uncovenanted Forest Service qualifies an officer for full pension; how many officers have been appointed to that service since its establishment in 1856; how many officersduring the same period have died; how many officers have retired or otherwise left the service during the same period; and, how many of these have been qualified by their service for any pension, and how many for full pension?

SIR J. GORST

The period which qualifies an officer of the Indian Forest Service for full pension is 30 years. The information in possession of the Secreretary of State does not enable him to give to the other questions replies upon the accuracy of which reliance could be placed.
