HC Deb 29 July 1889 vol 338 cc1685-6
MR. H. H. FOWLER (Wolverhampton, E.)

I would ask the hon. and learned Attorney General whether the Orders for Trust Companies Bill and a Private Bill lower down on the Paper might not be discharged, as the Bills raise an important question which it would be almost impossible to deal in the small remaining period of the Session. The Bills might be carefully threshed out in a Select Committee, and I would ask the Government to consider the desirability of discharging the Order?

THE ATTORNEY GENERAL (Sir RICHARD WEBSTER,) Isle of Wight

Perhaps the right hon. Gentleman will postpone the Question until to-morrow. I will look through the Bills. It is just possible there may be one or two clauses which might be passed. In all probability, the Orders will have to be discharged.
