HC Deb 29 July 1889 vol 338 c1570
MR. BIGGAR (Cavan, W.)

I beg to ask the Secretary of State for War whether complaints have reached him that the officers of the 4th Battalion Royal Irish Fusiliers (Cavan Militia) conducted themselves the last night of the training in a most disorderly manner; and whether Colonel Dease has reported the same to the Authorities; and, if not, why has he so neglected his duty?

THE FINANCIAL SECEETAEY FOR WAR (Mr. BRODRICK,) Surrey, Guildford

The General Officer commanding in Ireland states that he has received no report of any such irregularities. The Officer commanding the battalion has been directed to report to the Adjutant General, but no communication has yet been received from him.
