HC Deb 25 July 1889 vol 338 c1257
MR. LABOUCHERE (Northampton)

I beg to ask the Under Secretary of State for India whether the Secretary of State has come to any decision as to the confirmation of the Hyderabad Deccan Mining Concession; and, if so, whether he will communicate the terms to the House?

SIR J. GORST

The parties interested have been communicated with, and the Secretary of State is now awaiting a reply.

MR. LABOUCHERE

May I ask if any communication will be made to the House before the end of the Session with regard to the ultimate decision of Her Majesty's Government?

SIR J. GORST

That does not depend upon the Secretary of State, but on the parties interested. The Government cannot give an ultimate decision until the correspondence is at an end.
