That they have appointed a Committee of Five Lords to join with a Committee of the Commons, to consider and report under what circumstances, or upon what conditions, if any, Private Bills altering the terms of the Memorandum of Association of Companies ought to be allowed to pass; and the Lords request that the Commons will be pleased to appoint an equal number of Members to be joined with the Members of the Lords.

Ordered, That so much of the Message from the Lords as relates to the appointment of a Joint Committee with respect to the altering of the terms of the Memorandum of Association of Companies on Private Bills be taken into consideration upon Thursday, at the time of Private Business.—(Sir Horace Davey.)
