HC Deb 01 July 1889 vol 337 c1163
MR. BUCHANAN (Edinburgh, W.)

I beg to ask the First Lord of the Treasury, when the names of the Commissioners, and the terms of Reference of the Commission, to inquire into the exercise and disposal of the Crown rights of fishing in Scotland, promised by him on the 27th of May, will be announced

* THE FIRST LORD OF THE TREASURY (Mr. W. H. SMITH,) Strand, Westminster

The Commission will inquire into the exercise of the Crown rights in respect of salmon fishing. I am not able to give the hon. Gentleman the names of the Commissioners at the present time, but it will be a small Commission. Before the Session closes I hope to be able to give the House the information asked for.
