HC Deb 25 February 1889 vol 333 c264
MR. FIRTH(for Mr. ANDERSON,) Elgin

asked the Lord Advocate if he could state when the Government proposed to introduce the Local Government (Scotland) Bill; will such Bill deal with the question of District Fishery Councils; if not, will the Government introduce a separate measure dealing with this question; and is it intended to introduce a Bill for the reconstitution of the Scotch Fishery Board as promised by the Government last Session?

THE LORD ADVOCATE (Mr. J. P. B. ROBERTSON,) Bute

I am unable to say when the Local Government Bill will be introduced. With regard to the second part of the Question, it is obviously impossible for me to say, at present, what the provisions of the Local Government Bill will be.
