HC Deb 27 August 1889 vol 340 c593
MR. JAMES ROWLANDS

I beg to ask the Vice President of the Committee of Council on Education when the Judicial Committee of the Privy Council may be expected to give a decision on the Christ's Hospital Scheme which has been for so many years in abeyance; and, whether he will undertake that, so soon as the decision is given, it shall, as a Parliamentary Paper, be sent to Members?

THE VICE PRESIDENT OF THE COUNCIL (Sir W. HART DYKE,) Kent, Dartford

I understand that the Judicial Committee of the Privy Council have adjourned for the Long Vacation, and that they propose to give their decision immediately after they meet again. The Education Department has no power whatever to order the production of Parliamentary Papers.
