HC Deb 26 August 1889 vol 340 c474
MR. BRADLAUGH (Northampton)

I beg to ask the Chancellor of the Exchequer whether any and what steps have been taken to give effect to the Treasury Minute, July, 1888, relating to Perpetual Pensions?

THE CHANCELLOR OF THE EXCHEQUER (Mr. GOSCHEN,) St. George's, Hanover Square

The work of the Treasury has been too great to allow me to give to each case the full attention which I consider the matter deserves. I will, of course, deal with the matter now that I have more leisure, and will consider it in the Recess.

MR. BRADLAUGH

May I take it for granted that during the Recess the matter will be investigated?

MR. GOSCHEN

No time will be lost in looking into the whole question.
