HC Deb 24 August 1889 vol 340 c373
MR. SEXTON (Belfast, W.)

I wish to ask the Solicitor General for Ireland whether in regard to the case of John M'Gee he is aware that at the Coroner's inquiry the Crown Solicitor refused to produce the notes of the hospital doctor, and whether he will give an assurance that in the inquiry no facts that are relevant to the case shall be kept from the jury?

MR. MADDEN

I am sure it is the desire of the Government that all the facts shall be properly brought before the jury, and I can undertake that they will be produced. I am not conversant with the facts of the case, but I am certain that every fact that can throw the least light upon the inquiry will be brought forward.

MR. SEXTON

Will the hon. and learned Gentleman be good enough to give his personal attention to the matter?

MR. MADDEN

Yes, Sir; certainly.
