HC Deb 19 August 1889 vol 339 c1663
GENERAL GOLDSWORTHY (Hammersmith), for Sir ROPER LETHBRIDGE (Kensington, N.)

I beg to ask the Under Secretary of State for India whether, in view of the great importance of the public interests safeguarded by the Forest Department of the Central Provinces, the Government of India have taken any steps to strengthen the staff of that Department; and, if so, whether the Secretary of State has accorded his sanction to those steps?

SIR J. GORST

The reply to both of the questions of the hon. Member is in the affirmative.
