THOMAS ELLIS (Merionethshire)I beg to ask the Secretary to the Treasury whether he will enable the Charity Commissioners to make inquiries into the endowments available for the purposes of the Intermediate and Technical Education (Wales) Act; and if so whether the work can be undertaken without delay?
§ * MR. JACKSONThe Treasury is awaiting a Report from the Charity Commissioners as to the actual advantages derived from the inquiry in one part of Wales which is now being held. Until that Report has been received the Treasury will not be in a position to decide whether the inquiry should be extended.
