HC Deb 19 August 1889 vol 339 c1645
MR. BROADHURST (Nottingham)

I beg to ask the President of the Local Government Board whether, having considered the Report of the Inspector sent to inquire into the alleged irregularities with regard to the election of Guardians at Lowestoft, on the 5th July, he is now able to state whether any action will be taken in the matter?

* THE PRESIDENT OF THE LOCAL GOVERNMENT BOARD (Mr. RITCHIE, Tower Hamlets, St. George's)

The Local Government Board have considered the Report of the Inspector on the inquiry with regard to the election of Guardians at Lowestoft, and have arrived at the conclusion that no valid election has taken place, and their decision to this effect has been communicated to the several persons interested.
