Order read for resuming Proceeding on Amendment to Question [13th March], "That the Bill be now read a second time."

And which Amendment was— After the word "That" in the Main Question, to add the words "in the opinion of this House, it is inexpedient to proceed with the consideration of a measure which proposes to modify the prison treatment of a certain class of prisoners in Ireland, and leaves to the ordinary law other prisoners whose offences are not of the character usually associated with crime."— (Mr. T. W. Russell.)

Question again proposed, "That those words be there added."
