HC Deb 15 April 1889 vol 335 c492
MR. MURPHY

I beg to ask the Financial Secretary to the Treasury whether, though it is announced upon a notice hoard in Leinster Lawn, Dublin, that the lawn is open to the public daily, the main entrance gates are always kept locked, and access is only to be had by the initiated through a wicket in a side railing; and whether this fine space will be really made available to the public by keeping the main gates open in future?

*MR. JACKSON

I will bring the suggestion of the hon. Member before the Committee of Public Works.

MR. SEXTON

If this place is to be open to the public, will the hon. Gentleman suggest that the main gate should be open as well?

*MR. JACKSON

I will inquire.
