HC Deb 12 April 1889 vol 335 c363
LORD CHARLES BERESFORD (Marylebone)

I beg to ask the First Lord of the Admiralty whether he will lay upon the Table of the House the Papers relative to the designs and building of what is known as the Admiral class of battleship?

LORD G. HAMILTON

These Papers and Minutes are of a very confidential character, and could not be made public without detriment to naval interests. I may, however, state that full and frequent discussion took place, both in writing and conversation, between the different members of the Board before that type of vessel was introduced into the Navy.
