HC Deb 12 April 1889 vol 335 cc350-1
MR. BLANE

asked the Chief Secretary to the Lord Lieutenant of Ireland if he could say when the Land Commission intends hearing cases listed in the Newry Union since November, 1887, for the fixing of fair rents?

MR. A. J. BALFOUR

The Land Commissioners inform me that a Sub-Commission will commence its sitting for that portion of the Newry Poor Law Union which is in the County of Down towards the end of the present or early next month. The list of cases will be issued in a few days. The date has not yet been fixed for a sitting for that portion of the Union which is in the county of Armagh.
