Address for— Return of all Breech-Loading Iron and Steel Guns manufactured either at Woolwich or by Private Firms (British) which have been damaged after delivery for Service since 1875, giving classes, and in separate detail: (1) Those that have burst; (2) Those that have "blown out" or rendered breech-piece useless; (3) Those cases where erosion has occurred to such an extent as to render the Guns useless; (4) Those cases where erosion has occurred and rendered re-lining necessary; and the number of rounds fired in each case prior to such damage; (5) Who was responsible in each case for the design of Guns mentioned (in continuation of Parliamentary Paper, No 52, of Session 1887)."—(Lord Charles Beresford.)
