HAYDEN (Leitrim, S.)asked the Chief Secretary to the Lord Lieutenant of Ireland whether the nature of the appointment as Magistrates of the Divisional Commissioners was such as to compel Clerks of Poor Law Unions to put them on the list of ex-officio Guardians for the unions in which they reside?
§ MR. A. J. BALFOURI am advised that the nature of the appointment as magistrates of the Divisional Commissioners is not such as to render them eligible to act in any case as ex-officio guardians of a Poor Law union.
