§ MR. ILLINGWORTH (Bradford, W.)said, as it was obvious there would be no opportunity for discussing the Bill, would it not be better to withdraw it at once?
§ THE SECRETARY TO THE TREASURY (Mr. JACKSON) (Leeds, N.)said, it was for the Minister in charge to take that responsibility.
§ MR. ILLINGWORTHremarked, that other Bills had been withdrawn in the absence of the responsible Minister.
§ DR. TANNER (Cork Co., Mid)said, though the Bill stood at Committee stage, it had on previous occasions been taken at a late hour without debate.
§ MR. SPEAKERIf opposition is offered, the Bill, of necessity, is set down for another day.
