asked the Lord Advocate, Whether it is the intention of the Government to proceed with the Burgh Police and Health (Scotland) Bill this Session; and, whether he is in a position to give an undertaking on the subject?

The Government would be glad to proceed with this measure this Session if it be possible to do so; but further progress must be made with Supply before any undertaking can be given on this subject.
