HC Deb 10 May 1888 vol 325 c1826
MR. S. SMITH (Flintshire)

asked the First Lord of the Treasury, Whether he can inform the House when the Currency Commission is likely to make its Report; and, whether it has held more than one meeting during the last three months?

THE FIRST LORD (Mr. W. H. SMITH) (Strand, Westminster)

I cannot say when the Currency Commission is likely to make its Report. It is now engaged in considering it. It has not held more than one meeting during the last three months; but a good deal of communication has taken place between the Members of the Commission in writing.
