§ THE UNDER SECRETARY OF STATE (Sir JAMES FERGUSSON) (Manchester, N.E.)Her Majesty's Government are not in possession of any recent information of slave trading in the Soudan or in Zanzibar, or of the mutilation of children. A certain increase of the Slave Trade is reported from the East Coast of Africa. The annual Blue Book on the Slave Trade will shortly be presented, and will contain all the official information that has reached us on the subject.
