asked the First Lord of the Treasury, in reference to the Memorial from the Vestry of St. James's, Westminster, Whether the Treasury will be prepared to re-open the financial questions as to the Battersea land, &c., named therein; or, whether he will give the decision on the Memorial before the close of the Session, in time to render such decision available before the new London County Council takes over the government of London?

The answer from the Treasury to the Me- morial from St. James's Vestry has already been sent, and it is to the effect that the Department are not prepared to re-open the question on the terms suggested by the Vestry.
