asked the Chief Secretary to the Lord Lieutenant of Ireland, Whether the Government intend to deprive the people of Tullamore of the services of a town magistrate?

, in reply, said, the power of appointing a magistrate under the Towns Improvement Act rested solely with the Lord Chancellor of Ireland, and he understood it was not at present contemplated to appoint a town magistrate in Tullamore.
