MR. WATT (Glasgow, Camlachie)

asked the Under Secretary of State for the Colonies, Whether the Government have received a Petition, signed by the principal merchants and leading inhabitants of the Colony of British Guiana, praying for the construction of a railway to the North-Western Frontier; and, whether he is prepared to state what action, if any, the Government propose to take, so as, if possible, to comply with the wishes of the Colonists?
