BARCLAY(for Dr. CAMERON) (Glasgow, College)asked the Lord Advocate, Whether he has any objection to lay upon the Table of the House a Return setting forth the names of the head of each crofter family emigrated to North America under the Government emigration scheme, giving the sex and age of each member of each family, and stating the name of the landlord from whose estate each family was removed; giving, further, the total amount expended in the case of each 182 family up to the date of landing in Canada, and the estimated amount remaining available out of the £120 granted for the establishment and maintenance of each family after defrayal of all expenses up to arrival on homestead selected for settlement?
