HC Deb 12 July 1888 vol 328 c1101
SIR WILFRID LAWSON (Cumberland, Cockermouth)

asked the First Lord of the Treasury, Whether he is now able to state the nature of the facilities which the Government propose to give for the discussion of the Sale of Intoxicating Liquors on Sunday Bill?

THE FIRST LORD (Mr. W. H. SMITH) (Strand, Westminster)

I am at present not able to state what facilities can be given for the discussion of the Sale of Intoxicating Liquors on Sunday Bill, owing to the present condition of the Local Government Bill; but I hope it may be possible to take the second reading at either a Morning or an Evening Sitting within the next few weeks.
