HC Deb 10 July 1888 vol 328 c888
MR. CREMER (Shoreditch, Haggerston)

asked the First Lord of the Treasury, Whether Her Majesty's Government propose to introduce a Bill to give effect to the recommendation of the City Guilds Commissioners of 1884, that an Act should be passed to restrain the alienation of the real and personal estate of the Companies, or to take any steps to carry out the Report of the Commissioner by establishing the Commission for five years as therein suggested?

THE FIRST LORD (Mr. W. H. SMITH) (Strand, Westminster)

I am unable to give any pledge that the Government will introduce a Bill giving effect to the Report of the Royal Commission on City Companies.
