§ THE FINANCIAL SECRETARY, WAR DEPARTMENT (Mr. BRODRICK) (Surrey, Guildford)(who replied) said: The Secretary of State's attention has been called to this case, and a copy of the pamphlet relative to the circumstances under which Lieutenant Colonel Dickson was placed on half-pay upwards 1472 of 23 years ago has been laid before him. The officer's case was very carefully considered at the time, and the Secretary of State is not prepared to re-open it.
