HC Deb 13 December 1888 vol 332 c95
MR. PICKERSGILL (Bethnal Green, S.W.)

asked the Secretary of State for the Home Department, What is the decision of the Public Prosecutor as to the action of the police in the case of the men Brannaghan and Murphy, against whom a conviction was obtained for burglary and attempt to murder?

THE SECRETARY OF STATE (Mr. MATTHEWS) (Birmingham, E.)

I have nothing to add to the answer which I gave in the House twice last week—namely, that inquiries are still proceeding. The Public Prosecutor is not able to give me an estimate of the time which these inquiries will take.
