PICKERSGILL (Bethnal Green, S.W.)asked the Secretary of State for the Home Department, Whether any, and, if so, how many, criminal prisoners iu England and Wales were released, during the year ended 31st March last, before the expiration of their respective terms of imprisonment or penal servitude, on the ground of their physical or mental condition?
§ THE SECRETARY OF STATE (Mr. MATTHEWS) (Birmingham, E.), in reply, said, the numbers were five convicts and 75 local prisoners.
