BRADLAUGH (Northampton)asked the Vice President of the Committee of Council on Education, Whether the Art and Science Department refuses to allow the travelling expenses of a science teacher to the village of Holy well Green, five miles from Halifax, though no duly qualified person is obtainable in that small village to teach a science class; and, if yes, on what ground such refusal is based?
§ THE VICE PRESIDENT (Sir WILLIAM HART DYKE) (Kent, Dartford), in reply, said, he was unable to find any trace of such an application and refusal. If the hon. Gentleman would furnish him with the details he would look further into the matter.
