§ MR. T. M. HEALY (Longford, N.)said, that he had withdrawn his opposition to the Bill, in order that the Amend- 1636 ments might be seen; but the House of Lords had made Amendments introducing a change in the Bill, one clause particularly having been introduced with reference to slander that had nothing whatever to do with newspapers. He hoped the Bill would be closely scrutinized, and its further consideration be postponed till the Autumn Sitting.
