HC Deb 03 August 1888 vol 329 c1369
THE EARL OF MEATH

asked the Government, What had been done in fulfilment of their promise to place seats in Parliament Square?

LORD HENNIKER

said, that 10 seats had been ordered to be placed in Parliament Square, and it was believed that they would shortly be placed in position. Six of the seats would be placed in the centre walk, and the other four at the corners of Parliament Square, outside the railings, where there was ample space for them.
