HC Deb 26 April 1888 vol 325 c577
MR. AINSLIE (Lancashire, N. Lonsdale)

asked the Secretary of State for the Homo Department, If he can state the intentions of Her Majesty's Government as to their bringing in a Bill during the present Session to deal with the Metalliferous Mines Act of 1872; or, if not during this Session, then in the next?

THE SECRETARY OF STATE (Mr. MATTHEWS) (Birmingham, E.)

These Acts require to be amended in certain particulars; but there is no intention on the part of the Government to deal with them this Session. It would be premature to give any pledge for next Session.
