HC Deb 23 April 1888 vol 325 c167
DR. CLARK (Caithness)

asked the Lord Advocate, Whether, considering the demand for small holdings now being expressed at public meetings of ploughmen throughout Scotland, the Government intend to introduce a Bill to provide small holdings for the ploughmen and other agricultural labourers in Scotland?

THE LORD ADVOCATE (Mr. J. H. A. MACDONALD) (Edinburgh and St. Andrew's Universities)

So far as I am aware, there is no immediate prospect of any legislation such as is indicated by the Question of the hon. Member.
