HC Deb 20 April 1888 vol 325 cc26-7
MR. HOYLE (Lancashire, S.E., Heywood)

asked the President of the Local Government Board, If he will lay upon the Table of the House a Return showing what amount, including one-half of the Probate Duty, would be paid by each city and borough in Lancashire if the financial proposals necessitated by the Local Government (England and Wales) Bill should be carried; also the amount each city and borough in Lancashire would receive in accordance with the provisions of the Bill.

THE PRESIDENT (Mr. RITCHIE) (Tower Hamlets, St. George's)

I stated last evening that I was prepared to present to the House a statement containing certain particulars with respect to the distribution of the Licence Duty and Probate Duty; but I cannot undertake to attempt to give such estimates as those to which the hon. Member refers.
