Member to an answer which I recently gave to the hon. and gallant Member for the Wirral Division of Cheshire (Captain Cotton), and repeat that, though I cannot give an authoritative opinion, I believe that the sale of foreign meat as English meat when English meat is demanded is an offence under Section 6 of the Salo of Food and Drugs Act, 1875.
