HC Deb 13 April 1888 vol 324 c1179
MR. RANKIN (Herefordshire, Leominster)

asked the Secretary to the Local Government Board, as representing the Committee of the Privy Council on Agriculture, Whether the Government intend to act upon the recommendations of the Committee appointed to inquire into the question of dairy schools, and to make a grant to such schools; and, if so, whether they intend to lay down any Rules or Regulations for the conduct of such schools; and, what steps should be taken by any agricultural school desirous of applying for the grant?

THE SECRETARY (Mr. LONG) (Wilts, Devizes)

The Agricultural Department is not yet in possession of the funds, nor has it yet a staff at its disposal for the needful inquiries. We shall be ready to receive applications for consideration by the Department which may be intrusted with the duty of dealing with them.
