§ MR. SINCLAIR (Falkirk, &c.)asked the Lord Advocate, If classes for Cookery, which have been, and are being, held in accordance with the Rules and Regulations of last year's Code in schools the school year of which has not yet terminated, will receive the grant in accordance with the terms of that Code, and not in accordance with the less favourable terms of the proposed new Code, which was laid upon the Table of the House on the 6th of March last, and has not yet been sanctioned?
§ THE LORD ADVOCATE (Mr. J. H. A. MACDONALD) (Edinburgh and St. Andrew's Universities)The conditions required by the New Code will come into force at the end of the present month; and the arrangement of cookery classes ought to be brought into conformity with these conditions as speedily 1047 as possible. But the grant will not be forfeited, although these conditions have not been fulfilled throughout the whole of the current school year.
