HC Deb 02 September 1887 vol 320 cc906-7
MR.FINUCANE (Limerick, E.)

asked the Secretary to the Treasury, What is the reason for the delay in replying to an application by the Limerick Harbour Board for a loan to repair damages done to Limerick floating dock; and, will the Treasury direct the immediate issue of the loan, so as to enable the Board to make these necessary repairs?

THE SECRETARY (Mr. JACKSON) (Leeds, N.)

It was found necessary to make certain inquiries as to the financial position of the Limerick Harbour Board. I understand that the reply to the inquiries of the Treasury is being sent to-day; and I hope on receipt of it to be in a position to come to a decision.
