MACDONALD (Queen's Co., Ossory)asked the Chief Secretary to the Lord Lieutenant of Ireland, Whether John Ryan, of Cloughready, County Tipperary, who was committed to prison for an indefinite term, by Mr. Cosby E. Trench, on 4th June, 1886, for taking forcible possession of his holding from which he had been evicted, is still in prison; and, if so, how long is it the intention of the Government to keep him there?
§ THE PARLIAMENTARY UNDER SECRETARY (Colonel KING-HARMAN) (Kent, Isle of Thanet)(who replied) said, he was informed that this man was discharged from gaol on the 30th of July last.
