HC Deb 05 May 1887 vol 314 cc945-6
MR. HOOPER (Cork, S.E.)

asked the Chief Secretary to the Lord Lieutenant of Ireland, What is the cause of the delay-that ha3 occurred in forwarding the Board of Guardians of the Bandon Union the Provisional Order for the erection of labourers' cottages in that Union?

THE PARLIAMENTARY UNDER SECRETARY (Colonel KING-HARMAN) (Kent, Isle of Thanet)

(who replied) said: Petitions having been lodged against the Order, it cannot become absolute until confirmed by an Order in Council. The Law Officers have settled the preliminaries, and the matter will be before His Excellency in Council in a few days.
